We cut privet, laurel, beech, box and conifer, from a low front hedge to a boundary run that needs a platform. Tops are levelled with a line so they stay straight, and faces are cut back tight without going into the brown.
If a conifer has outgrown the space completely, we can reduce it hard or take it out and grind the stump area back so the ground can be replanted or turfed.

When is the best time to cut a hedge?
Late summer suits most formal hedges, with a lighter tidy in spring. We always check for nesting birds first and will not cut an active nest, which is a legal requirement in the UK.
Can you reduce the height of a tall conifer?
Usually yes. Leylandii will not regrow from old brown wood, so we will tell you honestly how far it can come down before it stops looking green.
Do you clear up the clippings?
Always. We sheet the ground first, then everything gets loaded into the van and the path is blown down.
Do you cut hedges for landlords and agents?
Yes, we look after a number of rentals and communal areas on a regular round, with invoices sent straight to the agent.
